Kanna Shots

What Is a Kanna Shot?

A kanna shot is a small, concentrated bottle of Sceletium tortuosum extract, usually poured in a 2oz or 60mL size. It takes the serving you would get from a full kanna beverage and packs it into a bottle you can drink in a few seconds, which is why shots are the grab and go choice in the kanna lineup. Because the serving sits in a small volume of liquid, shots are easy to carry, quick to finish, and simple to portion by the bottle. Many list a kanna extract amount in milligrams right on the label so you can compare strength across products.

Straight Kanna and Kanna Kava Shots

Kanna shots come in two broad styles. A straight kanna extract shot features kanna as the main botanical, while a kanna kava shot blends kanna with kava for a layered botanical profile. The blended style is popular with shoppers who already drink kava shots and want to combine both in one bottle. Flavors are usually fruit forward to balance the plant, and some shots add other supportive botanicals, so the ingredient list is worth a quick read before you choose.

Kanna Shot Sizes and Strength

Most kanna shots come in a 2oz bottle or a slightly larger 60mL pour, and the size does not always track with strength, so check the labeled extract amount rather than assuming a bigger bottle is stronger. Some shots are a single serving, while larger bottles may list two servings, which changes how you portion them. Comparing the milligrams of kanna extract per bottle, along with the number of servings, gives you a clearer read on value than price alone. If you are new to kanna shots, a single serving bottle at a moderate strength is the simplest place to start.

How to Take a Kanna Shot

Shake the bottle if the label suggests it, then drink the labeled serving and give it time before considering more. If a bottle lists two servings, you can split it rather than finishing it in one go. Keep shots cool and sealed until you are ready, and store them out of reach of children and pets. Kanna shots at HITT are made for adults 21 and over.

Reading a Kanna Shot Label

A kanna shot label should list the kanna extract amount, the bottle size in ounces or milliliters, and the number of servings the bottle contains. The ingredient list shows whether the shot is straight kanna or a kanna kava blend, and which flavor and botanicals are included. Because a small bottle can still hold a strong serving, the labeled milligrams matter more than the size of the bottle. Brands that publish lab results make it easy to confirm the extract and compare one shot to another before you buy.

When a Kanna Shot Makes Sense

Shots are built for speed and portability, so they fit a busy day, travel, or any moment when you do not want to carry a full beverage. The small bottle slips into a bag or pocket, and the serving is finished in seconds rather than sipped over time. If you prefer a slower, sippable experience, a kanna drink delivers a similar blend in a larger format, while gummies and capsules trade the liquid entirely for a pocket sized piece.
